Pancake Breakfast Reminder

The Pancake Breakfast is this Saturday (tomorrow).  Please tell all your friends and family and share on social media.

If you have donated something please please do not wait until your shift to bring it.  We will be collecting donations today from 3:30 – to the end of practice in the track field parking lot (Look for the beige Suburban with the back door open). Or you may drop off at the cafeteria tomorrow at by 8 am. Don’t forget to turn in your money or unsold tickets.

The shifts are:

Freshman: 7 – 8

Sophomores: 8-9

Juniors: 9-10

Seniors: 10 – 11:30

This is a fun event we hope to see lots of people there.

 

 

Pancake Breakfast Saturday February 25th

Our Pancake breakfast fundraiser is this Saturday. 8 am (7am set up ) – 12 pm.  Coaches will be assigning shifts for athletes to work.

Everyone should have received their tickets to sell.  (Some got them today – Sorry for the delay) Checks should be made out to Buena ASB Track

Money or unsold tickets are due back by this Friday.

We need lots of donations.  See the donation sign- up here Pancake Donations  Please sign up by Thursday evening as we will be purchasing what we need on Friday.

Seaside Invitational Donations & Volunteers Needed

Buena Cross Country is hosting the Seaside Invitational is this coming Friday, September 9th, held at the San Buenaventura State Beach.  We have 40 teams signed up this year and we definitely can not run a successful event with out parent help.  We manage to host a great meet every year, but there has never been a moment where another 10 people couldn’t have been put to work  The more help we can have the easier it becomes for everyone – but more importantly it makes for a more memorable experience for our runners!

This meet is also an excellent fundraising opportunity for us.  Funds are always needed to help with entry fees to meets, uniforms, equipment, end-of-year banquet, coaches, etc.  We will have a concession stand at this meet and donations for the stand would be greatly appreciated.  Here is a list of items we would like to offer the athletes and their families.  (These are suggestions and many can be purchased at Smart & Final or Costco)

  • 2,000 + Cups for the Water Station
  • 20 Cases of Water (24.5 liters)
  • 10 – Cases of each: Coke, Diet Coke, Dr. Pepper, Sprite
  • 20 Cases of Gatorade (20 oz.) (Blue & Red sells the best)
  • 4 Boxes of Granola Bars
  • 5 Boxes of Power Bars
  • 5 Boxes (36 count) of Skittles
  • 6 Boxes (24 count) Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
  • 5 Boxes of each – Kit Kat, 3 Musketeers, Snickers
  • 3 Boxes of Hershey’s Bars
  • 5 Boxes of individually wrapped Sour Belts
  • 5 Boxes of Each – Plain M&Ms, Peanut M&Ms
  • 5 Boxes (18 count) Corn Nuts
  • 4 Boxes of Famous Amos Chocolate Chips Cookies
  • 4 Boxes of Trail Mix (individual packs)
  • 6 Boxes of Individual Crackers (Gold Fish, Cheezits, Ritz)
  • Fresh Bananas, Cuties & Apples

Items may be dropped off at the track after 2:30 or brought to San Buenaventura Stat Beach on the day of the meet, Friday Sept 9.
