Team Trial and end of Summer celebration
Where: Arroyo Verde Park
Race Time: 5:00 pm – 1 Mile Race 5:20 pm – JV 2 Mile Race 5:50 pm – Var 2 Mile Race
The girls and boys team will be competing in the same races.
XC athletes will meet 6th period at the stadium. They will run to Arroyo Verde Park, where we will cheer on Ventura College cross country in their races. The Bulldogs will begin their time trials at the conclusion of the VC races. After the final race, we will continue the celebration with pizza, fruit, salad, drink, etc…
We are asking for donations to cover the cost of the pizza. As per various rules /laws, we cannot spend team money on team dinners- yes I know it seems ridiculous that we can’t use the money the athletes earned, but it’s the law. But… we can purchase drinks and snack items. So … this is why we are asking for donations to cover the cost of the pizza. Suggested donation is $5.
We would also appreciate donations of Gatorade, water, chips, fruit, cookies. Bring them to the park.
Parents are absolutely invited to attend and cheer on our Bulldogs. We hope to see you there.
Plan on picking up your daughter / son at Arroyo Verde Park by 7 pm
Next Week on Friday Sept 6 make plans to cheer on the Bulldogs as they compete in their first Pacific View League Meet at River Ridge / Victoria Lakes Golf Course first race @ 3pm
