Hi Bulldogs! Thank you for the help on Friday- the event was a success! Coach’s are already making plans to come back next year. On Sunday we have 2 volunteer stations. The first is a water station (station F) located at Harbor and 5th. We are schedule to be there from 6:15 am to 11:15 am. The supplies should all be there for you. You will need to set up the tables and start filling the water cups. Fill the table with water cups so you will be ready for the 1000’s of athletes running (just under 4000 are registered for the marathon, 1/2 marathon, and 5k). You will need some to hand out the water and others to fill the cups once the runners start coming by. Here is more information regarding the set up for Aid Station F. Ventura Marathon Aid Station F Instructions VM_AidStation_F_Overview (2) VM_AidStation_F (1)

Our second station is at the finish line, located at the pier. We will be cutting off chips, helping with nutrition prep, handing out medals, and whatever else is needed. First shift starts at 7:15 am, second shift starts at 10:00 am. Last shift ends at 2 pm. Parking and driving in the area will tricky with roads blocked and lots of people. I will be parking in the dirt lot across the freeway near the footbridge that cross the freeway to the pier at Ash and Front.  Here is a map for parking VenturaMarathon_Parking_Map (1)

Not sure what you signed up for? Here is the list Sunday Marathon Volunteers.  If you have questions or can’t be there, not sure where to go… please text either Coach Burns 805-256-4124 or Coach Torres 805-320-5124 or Coach Juan 805-276-0809

The race director and the competitors are depending on everyone to do their jobs and we want to continue to have these opportunities to earn fundraising $ for our team.  Buena has an excellent reputation in the running community for being dependable and hard working.

Thank you in advance for helping!! Go Bulldogs!! Coach Burns
